Welcome to our page, we are Lara & Carlo, we are the Travel Pirates!
Get inspired discovering the world through our eyes, follow our adventures living as pirates on a budget..!
Our story begun in July 2014 in Broome WA (Australia) where we met each other while travelling with different companions.
We've been living in Australia for 4 years where we've been working and travelling with people from around the world and seen most of Australia on the road as backpackers.
In 2018 we have decided to quit our jobs and start living our life for real, we moved to Costa Rica, where we've been for the last 10 months.
In 2019 we moved to live on another island.! Well let's say it's a bit smaller though.. Bienvenidos a Palma de Mallorca!!!
And now? Well we decided to start over again, this time from Malaga, BIENVENIDOS EN ANDALUCIA!!!!

September 2018 - Costa Rica
The Travel Pirates have decided to hoist the sails and go for a new destination, we are moving on a little island in the Mediterranea Sea!
Living in Costa Rica is a dream that has been realized, a 'lonely' path, mental, exploratory, with many waitings.. many waitings..!
It was what we needed at that time, it was what our heart asked us, to find some interior peace, to breath pure air, to live in the nature and have our own life in hand!
Now we prepare ourselves for the next challenge and destination, always with the wind in the stern and high the flags, we are PIRATES!!!!
August 2017 - Australia
Time to move on!!!
Here we are, ready to leave Australia, it is time to move forward with new plans. What we have learnt here is for sure that you can't make plans because things can change anytime.
What is the next move?
We think travelling is the answer, we feel more alive in the nature and love living with locals.
We are moving to Costa Rica to explore and see if it's possible to escape from the rat race....
