Sorry I'm late, but it's been busy months here in Costa Rica.

The Pirates moved from Uvita because we were tired of the rain and the lack of people and tourism. We then changed our initial plan and moved further north, more precisely in Tamarindo in the province of Guanacaste, much drier and sunny area despite we are in rainy season but above all it is the most touristic area of the coast Rica.

We lived in the south, wilder and less visited area, where it rains for a good 5/6 months a year. Frankly I miss this unspoiled nature, the beaches deserted by films on pirates... but it was not what we were looking for to reach our project. Were months of planning and projects, expectations and hopes... time takes a different conception in the tropics, life continues slowly, every day we complete a piece of the puzzle but still we are not self-sufficient this I have to tell you... if you ever decide to take such a big step, think about it and do your searches well, visit more countries and stop for a long time, Costa Rica is a wonderful country but it's not for everyone. Put aside a good budget before you leave for this adventure! I must say that Tamarindo is really a beautiful bay on the Pacific Ocean, every day a different sunset. Ticos that offer massages on the beach, a horseback ride on the shore, "Coco Loco en Playa" (rum directly in the coconut), people who surf from both sides of the main beach, bars and restaurants practically on the sand, every day a breathtaking sunset. Living in the midst of nature is good for the soul, you can breathe clean and healthy air!

Scusate il ritardo... ma sono stati dei mesi movimentati qui in Costa Rica.

I pirati si sono spostati da Uvita perché eravamo stanchi della pioggia e della mancanza di persone e turismo. Abbiamo quindi cambiato il nostro piano iniziale e ci siamo spostati più a nord, per la precisione a Tamarindo nella provincia del Guanacaste, area molto più asciutta e soleggiata nonostante siamo in stagione delle piogge ma soprattutto è la zona più turistica del Costa Rica.

Abbiamo vissuto nella zona sud, più selvaggia e meno visitata, dove piove per un buon 5/6 mesi all'anno. Sinceramente mi manca un po' quella natura incontaminata, le spiagge deserte da film sui pirati... però non era quello che stavamo cercando per raggiungere il nostro progetto.

Sono stati mesi di pianificazione e progetti, di attese e speranze... il tempo prende una concezione diversa ai tropici, la vita prosegue lentamente, ogni giorno completiamo un tassello del puzzle ma ancora non siamo autosufficienti questo ve lo devo dire... se mai deciderete di fare un passo così grande, pensateci bene e fate bene i vostri conti, visitate più paesi e fermatevi per un lungo periodo, la Costa Rica è un paese meraviglioso ma non fa per tutti. Mettete da parte un buon budget prima di partire per questa avventura!

Devo dire che Tamarindo é veramente una bella baia sull'oceano pacifico, ogni giorno un tramonto diverso. Ticos che offrono massaggi in spiaggia, un giro a cavallo sulla banchigia, "coco loco en playa" (rum direttamente nel cocco), persone che fanno surf da entrambi i lati della spiaggia principale, locali e ristoranti praticamente sulla sabbia, ogni giorno un tramonto mozzafiato.

Vivere in mezzo alla natura fa bene all'anima, si respira aria pulita e sana!

In questo periodo ci siamo dedicati anche ad altro... Ci siamo fermati in spiaggia per raccogliere un po' di plastica, cosa che dovrebbero fare tutti....
