Free time in Costa Rica

Hi guys, here #Carlo&LaraTravelPirates from Uvita Costa Rica.
Finally we found a nice accomodation, where we can enjoy small privileges, such as a hot shower, washing machine and wi-fi. Yes, 'cause I never thought that we would miss the hot shower in a place where there are 30 degrees constant ... Trust me! For us it is a real cure-all....
You may have wonder how we spend our free time, since we have been in Costa Rica for more than three months. There are many leisures and landscapes to explore, of course the tours are a little too expensive for us and so we have a lot of free time.
In these 3 months we planted tomatoes and green beans 'cause we wanted to see in how long time they would grow as the temperature here is ideal all year round. Well, green beans after only a week were already coming out of the dirt and now they are blooming. We found ourselves with so many tomato plants that were choking to each others, so we made some jars and last week we had the chance to participate to the local market.
Another beautiful experience was the day spent exploring the Baru' Falls, in a town not far from Uvita. After a walk of one hour in the wonderful and lush jungle (of course in the paths), where I lost at least one lung for the heat, we reached the waterfalls and the caves where you can also stay for the night. I have to say the walk was worth it! Another little adventure if we want to call it: for the very first time I had come down from the side of the waterfalls with a rope... Not suitable for those suffering from vertigo, but for those who want to try new adventures.
It takes very little to be happy and if you're in paradise even less, but it is also easy to get lost and get bored. The fact there are still no meeting places makes the village very quiet and sometimes dispersive.
The beaches are wonderful, natural and not yet contaminated by man. Beach cleaning is organized once a month where volunteers collect the trash left by tourists.
By the way, we really like the lifestyle here, the temperature, the landscape and now it's time to think about future plans; we hope we can stay and manage a small business. We are ready to work hard, ready to smile at life enjoying the little things. Here it seems possible, but we have to plan well before taking action. We are looking for the tourism's flow in the high season that is still late coming 'cause of the daily rain.

Ciao ragazzi, qui #Carlo&LaraTravelPirates da Uvita Costa Rica.
Finalmente abbiamo trovato una sistemazione carina, dove possiamo goderci i piccoli privilegi, come una doccia calda, lavatrice e wi-fi. Si perche' mai avremmo pensato che ci sarebbe mancata la doccia calda in un luogo dove ci sono i 30 gradi costanti... Credetemi! Per noi e' stato un vero toccasana...
Vi sarete domandati come spendiamo il nostro tempo libero, dato che siamo in Costa Rica da piu'di tre mesi.
Ci sono molti svaghi e paesaggi da esplorare, certo che i tour sono un po' troppo costosi per noi e quindi abbiamo molto tempo libero.
In questi tre mesi abbiamo piantato dei pomodori e fagiolini perche' volevevamo vedere in quanto tempo sarebbero cresciuti dato che qui la temperatura e' ideale tutto l'anno. Ebbene fagiolini dopo solo una settimana stavano gia' uscendo dalla terra e ora stanno fiorendo. Ci siamo trovati con cosi' tante piantine di pomodoro che stavano soffocando tra di loro, percio' abbiamo preparato dei vasetti e la settimana scorsa abbiamo avuto la possibilita' di partecipare al mercato locale.
Un'altra bellissima esperienza e' stata la giornata passata esplorando le cascate di Baru', localita' non molto distante da Uvita.
Dopo una camminata di un'ora nella meravigliosa e rigogliosa giungla (ovviamente in sentieri), dove ho perso almeno un polmone per il caldo, abbiamo raggiunto le cascate e le caverne dove si puo' anche alloggiare per la notte. Devo dire che ne e' valsa la pena, altra piccola avventura se cosi' la vogliamo chiamare: e' stata per la me la prima volta che scendevo dal fianco di una cascata in cordata... Non cosigliabile a chi soffre di vertigni, ma bensi' a chi ha voglia di provare nuove avventure.
Si basta poco per essere felici e se sei in paradiso basta ancora meno, ma e' anche facile perdersi ed annoiarsi. Il fatto che non ci siano ancora luoghi di ritrovo rende il paese molto tranquillo e a volte dispersivo.
Le spiagge sono meravigliose, naturali e non ancora contaminate dall'uomo. Vengono organizzate pulizie di spiaggia una volta al mese dove volontari raccolgono la spazzatura lasciata dai turisti.
Comunque sia a noi piace lo stile di vita, la temperatura, il paesaggio ed ora e' il momento di pensare ai piani futuri; speriamo di poter rimanere e gestire un piccolo locale, siamo pronti a lavorare sodo, pronti a sorridere alla vita godendoci le piccole cose. Qui sembra possibile, ma bisogna pianificare bene prima di agire. Stiamo guardando l'afflusso di turismo nell'alta stagione che ancora tarda ad arrivare causa anche la pioggia giornaliera.
