Time to prepare for a new adventure!!!!

Dear readers, we left you in June with a new job opportunity, where we ventured both into this luxury restaurant with a sea view terrace ... and what a sea ...! 😍

They have been months of intense work, we have returned to the classic routine, to work 6 days out of 7, to the limit levels of patience and stress due to poor organization and other management problems... but we have gone on until the end of the season with other projects in the head, a new journey, a new beginning!

We have been living in this studio on the 11th floor overlooking the bay of Cala Mayor... all beautiful, I am sure of one thing: I will never get tired of watching the sea 24 hours a day!

Negative aspects .. the problem of the 'cucarachas' or cockroaches seems to come out of control due also to the hot summer and no rain ... 😳😬

We have never lived in a building like that before, closed in a small room, no wifi, no tv, ... we must say that after 5 months we feel the need for more freedom, to change the air a bit.. We have been in Mallorca for a year and the truth is that we can't wait to leave!!! The absence of a car has limited us a lot but not only this... finding a good place to work was not so easy, transport services are inconvenient and very slow not to mention that they drive like crazy... the little free time and the little social life have made the difference! We were expecting a little more life around, and not feeling obliged to go to a bar to make new friends.

And then you turn the corner you see half abandoned buildings or almost, some closed shops others still in operation..

All this has led us to the conclusion that we are not made to live on this island, we are not ‘islanders’ 🤣😆🤣 we are pirates after all.. 🏴‍☠️😆☠️ and we are ready to start again with a new route ...!

We are ready to drop everything off again and start over again, this time more prepared and loaded than before, even if my knees are still shaking and the pre-trip anxiety is starting ... 🧳 ✈️

Cari lettori, ci eravamo lasciati a giugno con una nuova opportunità lavorativa, dove ci avventuravamo in questo ristorante di lusso con terrazza vista mare... e che mare...! 😍

Sono stati mesi intensi di lavoro, siamo tornati alla classica routine, a lavorare 6 giorni su 7, ai livelli limite di pazienza e stress dovuti alla scarsa organizzazione ed altri problemi di management... ma siamo andati avanti fino alla fine con altri progetti per la testa, un nuovo viaggio, un nuovo inizio!

Viviamo in questo monolocale all’11 piano con vista sulla baia di Cala Mayor... tutto bellissimo, di una cosa certo non mi stancherò mai: vedere il mare 24 ore su 24!

Aspetti negativi.. il problema delle ‘cucarachas’ o blatte sembra uscito fuori controllo dovuto anche a l'estate calda e senza pioggia... 😳😬 Non avevamo mai vissuto prima in un palazzo e e tantomeno in un monolocale, senza wifi e tv, isolati totalmente, dobbiamo dire che dopo 5 mesi sentiamo il bisogno di più libertà, di cambiare aria..

Siamo a Mallorca da un anno e la verità è che non vediamo l’ora di andarcene! L’assenza di una macchina ci ha limitati molto ma non solo questo... trovare un posto di lavoro adeguato non è stato così facile, i servizi di trasporto sono scomodi e molto lenti senza contare che guidano da pazzi... il poco tempo libero e la poca vita mondana ha fatto la differenza! Ci aspettavamo un po’ più di vita in giro, e non sentirci obbligati ad andare in un bar per fare amicizie nuove. In più giri l’angolo e vedi palazzi mezzi abbandonati o quasi, negozi alcuni chiusi altri ancora in funzione..

Tutto ciò ci ha fatto arrivare alla conclusione che non siamo fatti per vivere su quest’isola, non siamo ‘isolani’, siamo pirati in fin dei conti 🏴‍☠️😆☠️ e siamo pronti a ripartire con una nuova rotta...! 🤩

Siamo pronti a mollare tutto di nuovo e ripartire di nuovo da capo, questa volta più preparati e carichi di prima, anche se ancora mi tremano le ginocchia ed inizia l’ansia pre viaggio... 🧳 ✈️
